Japan is a very small country located to the east of China and the Koreas. Japan is made up of 4 major islands that belonged to many different peoples throughout time! Japan's emperors and empresses wanted Japan to have an influence, so the emperors/empresses sent out scholars to learn about China and bring information back.
Japan got a lot of its ways from China. Buddhism, government, and some others. One thing I think is the most important way would be the government. One problem, though. One emperor wanted to change the government. So, the emperors would have more power, like in China. Many people disagreed with this so this "law or idea" did not pass. Other than that Japan traded, and had many same government ways. They had emperors which would be like a king or president to us. Then they had the regents, which was like governors and mayors. Then, they had the townspeople which would be like an ordinary person in a city. Like a policeman, or a doctor, or plumber.
We get a lot of things from other countries from around the world! We just don't realize it! Well, take some time to think about the world around you! Bye.. or however you say it in Japanese!
