English
With Mrs. Frazier
English is my 7th period. I have an amazing teacher by the name of Mrs. Frazier! She is so much fun to learn and listen to and makes everything super interesting. In English we are working on our SVG (Spelling Vocabulary and Grammar) packet. This is our 5th SVG but is the first SVG for 2nd quarter! In our SVG we are studying roots, pronouns, subject pronouns, and little activities that normally tie in with our roots. One thing Mrs. Frazier is really big on though is reading. You have to read 20 minutes every night for homework. The good thing is, I'm reading a great book! This class is like my algebra class because there is not one type of sentence just like how in algebra there is not one type of equation. I hope I can keep my grade up in this class.
Room 73's Reading Book
This is Computech's, 7th grade, reading book. So far in room 73, we have read about 7th grade lovers, a boy who learned to love instead of steal, and The Twighlight Zone. All of these stories so far have been very intersting! I have enjoyed every single story and can't wait to find out and read the next! Mrs. Frazier is alway really big on reading. We have a reading log we have to write in and books we are encouraged to read! The nice thing is... I love reading!
Homework (SVG)
This is our SVG packet which stands for, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Grammar. Some of the packets are easy and others are hard but either way they taught me a lot. This year, these packets have helped me to understand my grammar a lot better. I don't know what but it just clicked this year. I am thankful I did these packets because my knowledge really increased!
Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind Just a few weeks ago in room 73, my class and I all finished a book called, Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind. It was a great book that I really enjoyed reading. The story is based on an Islamic girl who is being forced to marry. She is having a hard time learning to obey her parents and is also struggling with the concept of growing up. Shabanu must learn to face and solve problems on her own so she will be a good and helpful wife, but will she? Read Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind to find out!
