It was a long day from working in the fields. I was tired and slowly trudged up the hill. Today was a warm, humid, day. It was hot int he fields though, I had been working hard. I pulled my bags (which I had flung over my shoulder) and they were heavy. Full of crops and wheat for harvest. As I reached the top of the hill, I smelled smoke. I turned to see if the was a fire anywhere near, there was. I broke into a run to only see specks of fire balls flying into the air as the city below them crumbled. I screamed and ran back to the field hoping someone I knew would be there, there wasn't one single person. I ran fast back to the village dropping my bags full of crops, I needed my family more than the crops we grew. As I ran into the burning town square I heard screams all around me, the people int he buildings we miserable. Yet, what could I do? I looked all around me only to see flames and smoke. I turned to see children and their parents confused and crying in a corner of two flaming buildings. I corraled them into my arms and told them to run to the hill. As, I watched them run, I saw two ships sailing far from the town, we had been overthrown, captured, declared a part of someone else's land. I watched the town crumble to the earth and the smoke soar high above the clouds. My family was gone, my home was too. My life int he fields was over, so were my friends. My pets and food, disappeared. I was no longer a human being who had my own life, I was now a slave. Owned by, probably, the most deluded, richest, most careless king in the world. My life, was not my own, anymore.

I don't know if its just me but it feels like years since I last blogged! I mean, I didn't blog Wednesday because I had double-period science. Whew! What happened?! Well, whatever, anyways today I get to write about Charlemagne! At first I thought it was some type of magnet or stone, but then I realized he was a person!
Charlemagne is Latin for "Charles the Great!"  Charlemagne accomplished much in his lifetime and helped the Christians spread Christianity. Charlemagne was a leader for the Franks. A group of people in Germany. He was appointed ruler/king by the pope and conquered all of Europe! Charlemagne helped spread Christianity by conquering all of Europe. It made it easier so then all of the missionaries wouldn't have to work so hard!
I don't know much about Charlemagne because I just learned about him earlier today and I still have lots more studying to do on him. From what I know about him, Charlemagne seemed like a powerful man. Sadly, I just need to learn so much more. I wonder what he looked like? If he was strong? Was he feared, of liked? How old did he live to be? How old was he when he was appointed king? Did Charlemagne conquer "The Europe" we know of today? I love finding answers to question sI have been wanting to know about! Got to study though!

Ok! This is super weird and I don't think I'm the only one noticing it. IT'S 2013!!!!!! I don't know if I can take another mark on my paper because the date is wrong! Wow! A whole 365 days have gone by... again. I always thought it was funny how we have to wait another 350 something days for Christmas... again.
This year, I didn't really make a resolution this year, but now that I think of it, I know just what I want to do. I play the piano, and I want to get good at it too! With homework and my family schedule, its tricky to find time to practice; but I want to become better! I am glad my family has a piano, its really pretty too! Just practicing for me is hard. I don't know what it is but I've never really been good with numbers and all so counting is hard for me. The beat is hard if you don't know the song your playing too! I want to become good so I'm trying to practice more, just it's super tricky on SOOOOOOOOO many different levels.

Here is how I "practice" something,
1. I learn about it. Where did it come from? Who came up with the idea? When did it start?
2. Find lessons, teachers, and places that offer what your looking for.
3. Raise money? Get Proper attire? What do you need? Piano? Drum set? Paper?
4. Talk to parents about what your thinking. If they see effort, they'll consider.
5. Start and work hard. Practice daily and show your parents, friends, and family what you've learned and know so far.

If you want something, you are going to have to work for it. I learned that the hard way, but I learned. You want to be able to do something you have to practice and learn about it. Even though today is part of the year 2013, it doesn't  mean things are going to be easier. It's 2013... they're going to be harder.
